About ALAC
We are a digital-first, international collective of artists. Our mission is to create accessible, liberating spaces for marginalized artists to thrive together.

How We Started
ALAC began as a small digital group chat during the 2020 lockdowns. During a time of intense isolation and uncertainty, we needed a safe place to share our art, our struggles, and our hopes without judgment.
What started as a simple group chat quickly blossomed into a vibrant, supportive community. We realized that the need for accessible, artist-centered spaces (both digital and physical) extended far beyond the pandemic.

Growing Together
Officially founded in 2022, we have grown to connect over 100 LGBT+ artists across the globe. We intentionally center trans folks, disabled creators, and artists of color because we know that our stories and voices are essential.
By keeping our primary spaces online, we actively work to break down the geographic, financial, and physical barriers that often keep marginalized artists out of traditional creative communities.

Art as Liberation
Art is not a luxury! Art is central to the human experience! Whether we are hosting digital workshops, sharing resources, or just hanging out in voice chat, everything we do is rooted in collective care.
We make art to build the world we want to live in!
Our Core Values
The principles that guide how we create, connect, and support one another.
Radical Accessibility
We believe everyone deserves access to community. We actively work to accommodate diverse physical, mental, and financial needs, ensuring no one is left behind.
Shared Liberation
None of us are free until all of us are free. We stand in solidarity with marginalized communities worldwide and use our creativity to envision a better future.
Collective Care
We prioritize people over productivity. Our community thrives on mutual aid, rest, and extending grace to ourselves and each other in a demanding world.
